Owen, Daddy, and I had a great time this Easter. We dyed eggs together, and then Charlie and I hid them the next morning for Owen to find. He was geeked that the Easter bunny was able to hop over all the snow we had the day before. Of course, an Easter train came in his basket. How did the Easter bunny know that???? Hee Hee
Owen also knows the real reason for the season, and how Jesus took the "Yuckies" out of our hearts, and died with them. BUT, then he came ALIVE!!! Death and bad times cannot overcome us...we can choose to live for Him, and all the love that stands for, and for each other.

At The Children's Museum!
WOW! I had so much fun at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. I went with some friends from mommy's chat group on line. It was a blast! Look at all the cool things I did! My two favorites were making bubbles, and popping them over my head, AND crawling through the mirror tunnels. We have to go back there again, soon!

At Fredrick Meijer Gardens....Watching The Butterfies.
We had such a fun time! First you go through an inside plant area with special flowers. Then you go through plastic flaps (so the butterflies don't escape). It was fun to see a butterfly land on Owen, even when he didn't notice. We spend a long time there, and then looked at their African Heritage exhibit, (Lots of warding off bad spirits there in all their artwork, chairs, neck rests, house decoration, masks, etc.) We also got a little butterfly water game for Owen from the gift store. We go every year, as this is such an amazing thing to see. I highly recommend it.

Picnic Time at the Library!
Owen had lots of fun at laptime this past week. It was picnic week, and we volunteered to bring some juice boxes and a treat to share. (Target has a great brand of fruit leather for kids.) Miss Barb, the lady who leads the group, really enjoyed wearing her p-jays too. And bringing out "Georgette," her black dog. She is really expressive when she reads books, and the kiddos LOVE her.
