BUBBLEology! OOOOOOO
This gentleman came and did all sorts of COOL things with bubbles, including making a square bubble. LOL. I'll have to see if I can get my video to download here. He has a contract in China to do 40 other shows, so he is becomming world known. All the kiddos LOVED it! He did ask Owen to help once, but Owen was too shy and scared at that point. I had to sit with him, because he was too excited at the beginning, and was wanting to jump up and do the bubbles for the man. "Sigh." Oh well....he had fun!

Bee Keeping...
Yesterday, Owen and I went to the library for a Bee Keeping program! It was really interesting. Our speaker showed the smoker that she used to calm the bees, and had some cool things on the tables like actual honey comb, a bee/wasp in a magnifying box to see the differences, color pages of bees, honey to taste (though she got it out after we left and I forgot), pictures of what goes on in the hive, etc. The kids got to make a free bee's wax candle, and look at the bees in the case. They were really excited about that. One bee actually got out, but it was caught. Yikes! Oh, and she had the children pretend to be the different bees. Owen was a drone. Only three of those. LOL. Well, they get to mate all their life, and then they die. (I wonder how long a life that is.)

Home Depot Kids Workshop
Owen had such a great time at Home Depot this morning! Every 1st Saturday of the month from 9am-11am, they offer FREE building projects for little people. Hee Hee. And it changes from month to month, so we will be doing this regularly. Daddy took him this morning. Charlie said on his way out..."This is a daddy/son thing." LOL. So, while they were out bonding....I got an hour to myself. YEA! This month, they made a Catamaran Boat. They use REAL materials...wood, wood glue, nails, etc. And use REAL tools. You can see the free apron they gave him, and it has a special pin for this particular project. They can get new pins for each new project. They also get a certificate, and a copy of the directions on how they made the project to take home. AND, did I mention, the kits are totally FREE?!?!?! WOW!!! HOW COOL IS THAT??? He came home so proud of himself. Thank you, HOME DEPOT!!! Check out one near you!
