Forts Are Cool!

Yesterday afternoon, Owen wanted to build this fort. Daddy came home and added the clamps. Then Owen wanted to sleep there. We let him, but it only lasted about an hour. Then he wanted back into his own bed. lol

Make It/Take It

Yesterday, I had about 30 kids at my house for a "Make and Take." That's where you come and pay a $1.00, and you get to make several crafts to give your loved ones for Christmas. It was really exciting, and Owen and the other children had a great time! Here are the 6 different projects they worked on.

Family Tree

Owen loves the "Sprout" channel. It is pre-school programs like "Kipper The Dog," and "Angelina Ballerina." Sprout also has a website that has fun interactive things on it. One special thing is their "Craft" section. This week, Owen was inspired to make the family tree. He followed all the directions one at a time, and really did a great job. He made mention of the fact that he wanted to make sure "Grandma D" was in the picture. It's hard to see, but each apple cut out is a family member.

Playing With a Friend!

Owen had a friend over today. They had a great time playing with trains, and playing outside on Owen's fort. Judging from the "Thumbs Up!" that Owen gave in the last picture, I'd say they had fun.

Grandma Carol Comes To Visit!

Grandma Carol came to visit yesterday afternoon. We hadn't seen her in a while, and it was fun to catch up on everything. Meanwhile, Owen just had to join her in his favorite chair...the rocking chair.

I'm going to love this in the kitchen. We just get to go buy a 4" x 4" tile that we like, and it's ready to go. Thanks, Owen! :)

Canning Applesauce!

Yesterday, I canned 23 pints of applesauce. No sugar, just apples. I blended Mutsu, Ida Reds, and Empires. It turned out a pretty pink, and tasted very sweet on it's own. Now....for the rest of the apples in the garage. lol It hardly looks like I made a dent!

Jumping in the Leaves!

This past Sunday afternoon, Charlie was getting rid of our leaves in the back yard. But then he scooped some up to make a pile for Owen to jump into.

Trick or Treat!

Owen went trick or treating with some friends of ours. We were invited for pizza at their grandma's house, and then they took off. It was really fun.
At home, he couldn't stop giggling after he was dressed up. He wanted to be "James," the red engine for the 3rd year in a row.
