Owen's 1st Gymnastics Class

This is Katie and Owen, after his first Gymnastics Class. She became his teacher, and he was the ONLY pupil in his class today. In fact, no one showed up for the older classes either, so he had the whole place to himself. LOL.
They guaranteed me that that would change soon, though. It's just the beginning of the year. Anyhow, Owen LOVED his class. I had to wait on the other side of the glass, so I couldn't really hear what was going on. But, it looked to me like he was a pretty good listener. I did see Katie point to her eyes, and her ears a few times, but mostly for a 4 year old, and an HOUR class...I thought he did excellently. It was cute to see him doing "tornados" on the trampoline, and walking the balance beam. Hee Hee

PE/Gymnastics

Yesterday I signed Owen up for a PE/Gymnastics class that runs for 8 weeks, for one hour on Thursdays, at 9am. I can't wait to see him enjoy his classes. We moms get to watch from a lobby with windows. Apparently the kids CAN see us, but are distracted by the program. Because it's for homeschooling kids, (This same institution does for public, private, all kinds of groups, and has certified PE teachers, etc.), it only costs me $60.00! WOW! I know....what a steal for some good fun and exercise! They will do some creative movement to warm up, and then do some stretching, and then the trampoline, bar, balance beam, and foam pits... (I can't WAIT to see what THAT is.) LOL. The ratio is 1 instructor to 7 kiddos. I'll post some pictures after our first meeting, next week Thursday!!! YAY!!!

UPDATE: We went to the Gym the other day, as they had OPEN gym. We were there 1.5 hours, and Owen was completely in LOVE with everything. But, also, he was exhausted after it all. As soon as we got home, he crawled up on the couch and fell asleep. I'm glad we went, because now I know kind of what equipment there is, and was able to see the set up. AND...Owen is geeked to go again. :)

Mommy and Owen!

Is this little boy not the most precious life Charlie and I have been entrusted with??? I just LOVE him. :) Owen, YOU are special, you are LOVED, and you are adorable!

More Flowers at that Museum...

Petting Zoo at Creation Museum...

Owen is so good with animals. This is one quality about Owen that I really like. He is very gentle, and kind with animals, and people in general. We gave him lots of opportunities to feed the animals. I think he giggled most with the camel, though....who seemed to be smiling at all the people. It was fun to see.

Children's Museum in Indianapolis, IN

Well, the Children's Museum in Indianapolis, IN is AMAZING! More like an amusement park size! Owen enjoyed the whole day, and even cried when we had to leave. (He was sooooh tired.) And who wouldn't be? Look at all the cool things he did????

Pool Party!

We had such a BLAST at our pool party, Friday!! Owen invited 6 friends, from my Mommy Lighthouse chat group, here locally, and Grandma Carol too, and we all had some lunch and swam. Daddy helped fill the pools for me, set up chairs, and anchored the swing set, so the outside was good to go. I bleached the pool toys, cleaned the house, got groceries (Hotdogs, pop, etc.) and set up the table inside for food. We were a little worried that it might be too cold, as it was only 65 degrees by 10:15am. But, when everyone arrived at 11am, it was already 74 degrees. I grilled hotdogs on my inside grill. Our food spread (all the moms contributed) also included Advacado Black Bean Salsa and Tostitos, Mixed fruit, Brownies, Chocolate Chip cookies, Juice Boxes, and a special cake for my birthday, that my friend Lesley made for me. YUMMO! After swimming for a while, we took some pictures, and had popsicles! If I can get permission, I'll add a few of the other kids later.....Hope you enjoy!

CREATION MUSEUM

Here are our wonderful friends, the Zieglers! They hosted our entire vacation, and let us just go here and there, with or without them. It really allowed us to completely enjoy our time there. :)

Very interesting place. Owen like the outside the most, with the gardens and the petting zoo, and the food, since he really need to run around after being in the car for the trip. (We played Travel Bingo on the way.) Charlie and I enjoyed going through the museum, part by part.

TRAIN DEPOT in Upland, IN

Our first stop in Upland was to the train depot. It was closed, but when we were walking around, the lady in charge came up and opened it just for us. It was so kind of her. Owen loved it!
