Grandma and Grandpa Andrews :)

We couldn't have done the rummage sale without Grandma and Grandpa Andrews, either. They got Owen up, and took him to the zoo, and then McDee's. Apparently, Owen was "grumpy" a lot today, but he still had fun. (He wanted to go to Schuler's book store, and once he gets an idea in his head, he doesn't let go.)
Anyhow, I got these pictures when we came home after dinner. Funny, how Grandpa had to keep his eyes on Owen. He can be a handful.

West Michigan's Largest Mom's to Mom's Rummage Sale

Well, I survived the first rummage sale I've ever done by myself in my life! I did it at the Homeschool building, 15 minutes away from my house. I paid for two tables, but took a few card tables along, and got Charlie and my friend Charlotte to help! I couldn't have done it without them. We got there at 7am to set up, and the people came in packs at 9am when it opened. It tapered off around noon. But, the good news is that I made $929.66!!! WOW! Ya, that's what I said. Charlie isn't making me pay back the cost of the tables, so that is pure profit!!!! WOW! Now, there will be a few christmas presents for Owen, but mostly the money will go into the bank for his education! I have so many things still yet to sell, that I'm going to do this again in March, so that the spring/summer things will go.
So, I'd have to say it was a successful venture!

Not Again!

No pictures today. But when I was getting ready to take Owen to gymnastics, I thought I heard a truck sound. You guessed it. They were back! Apparently, they did the road wrong the other day, and they had to dig the whole pavement up again today! Can you believe it???? And again, for the 3rd time, I had to go tell them to let me get my car out of the garage and parked on the street. (Or in this case I needed to leave in 10-15 minutes!)
The good news is that they DID redo it. I definitely want a workable road come wintertime, with NO pooling water for icy patches. "Phew."
And, when I got home at 10:10am, they had finished and gone. MUCH sooner than the last time, which was an all morning production. LOL.
So, I guess all's well that ends well. :)

Remember When????

They dug up the end of our driveway? Well, they came today and finished the job! YIPPEE! We can drive out our driveway, on solid pavement!!!! WOOOO WHOOO!!!
It was really fun for Owen to watch the whole process. I have to admit, I was a little surprised about the blow torch they used near the end. LOL.

And the finished product:

Playing in the Dirt

Owen loves to drive his trucks through the dirt next to the wild flower bed. He digs deep, and he loads up the dump truck often. He always needs at least a foot and hand bath afterwards. Sometimes a whole bath. But, it's always worth it. He has terrific fun!

Crickets!

We've got crickets in our basement. They serinade me all the time! Our landlord came this afternoon to let us know that the neighbors are being kept up at night from them. Of course, theirs are in the upstairs livingroom! ARRRRRGGGHHH!!!
He put some poison pellets out around the house, and found that our basement window, (which is taped shut,)was not really shut! He doesn't think that's how the crickets are coming in, but he fixed it anyway, and is going to get some traps maybe for our basement. Just got to keep Owen out from the rocks that he usually plays in around the house. I DON'T need a sick child.

Fruit Ridge Hayrides

We took a trip to the Fruit Ridge Hayrides Apple Orchard today! Here is the wagon ride we took. We saw pumpkins, apple trees, lots of woods, and corn fields. Our wagon was pulled by "Bill," and his two horses, "Ben," and "Bob." They were magnificent!

We also picked apples, ate freshly made doughnuts, and bought a gallon of cider to bring home. Owen also loved the pig barrel ride, and the farm animals they had around. Very fun!

Great Wolf Lodge

We went to the Great Wolf Lodge, in Traverse City this weekend. Owen saw the lodge, and called it the Lincoln Log Lodge, as it looks exactly like that. LOL. Anyway, we had a blast with Aunt Julie, Uncle Tim, and Cousin Nicholas! They have this huge indoor water park, that we made full use of. Owen could do almost everything there. Nicholas even did a wonderful job in the lazy river, and also the little people slides. I highly recommend it!

YIKES!!!! A SPIDER!!!

Look what Owen saw through the dining room window, this morning! "Aaaaahhhhhh!" I HATE spiders. This one was about two feet from the window, hanging in suspension, between our rose trellis, and the garage. It was sooooh huge to me. LOL. Well, it was actually probably an inch long with legs. The web was very beautiful, though. It's amazing to me how they do that.
I did have daddy get rid of it. I'd never be able to go out the back garage door EVER AGAIN! LOL.

Bottoms UP! LOL

Here are some pictures of Owen at Gymnastics, during their OPEN Gym. His favorite spot was the foam cube pit! He was so funny, because he landed butt up most of the time. Hee Hee
