A Bedtime Story

I do a lot of reading with Owen. But, he loves bedtime stories with daddy. This book is about a King who doesn't want to get out of the bathtub. LOL.
We have a bedtime routine. Going to the bathroom, getting p-jays on, get a bedtime story, and then a tiny drink of water. Owen will make sure you follow this routine, and will remind you if you forget to put his bedtime music on before leaving his room. LOL. One time, he tried to get out of bed, by fake crying, and telling me that he missed me too much, and was afraid I'd go to a meeting while he was in bed. LOL. The things they think of....:)

I think it is great to have a bed time routine! My boys do too. Our starts out with PJ's, then brush teeth. After teeth each one gets a "train" ride. Michael carries the boys around the house saying chuga, chuga, chuga, and the boys say Choo Choo. The train comes to a stop and Mommy gets a good night kiss. Next stop to their beds for a bible devotional and prayer. Oh and they always seem to want a sip of water too! They love their special daddy time! Hopefully they will do the same with their children some day!

Awwwh. Sarah. That's so cute. Owen would love to go to bed at your house....with the train thing and all. Hee Hee. Ya, I love the idea of passing along these "memorable" times to the next generation. You never can go wrong, investing in your children. :)
BTW: What devotional book do you use with the boys???

Thats a great routine Janet, we do something similar, but its just me here to do it, no Daddy time :-(
DH either works away or nights. So the kids have to put up with me lol
The problem i have with stories is that the ones i'd read Lewis are a bit old for Holly and the ones i'd read Holly are too young for Lewis and yet they insist on sitting together! hopefully in 6 months or so they will be on near enough the same level :-)
